Knowing how to look after your teeth and gums is essential in retaining good oral health between visits to the dentist and maintaining any previous work you may have had done.

Our Dental Therapists and Hygienists provide advice and techniques tailored to your specific needs.

Dental hygiene appointments

During a 30 minute hygiene therapy appointment your hygienist will remove plaque and calculus (the substances that cause gum disease), stains (from tea, coffee, red wine, smoking) and offer bespoke advice on oral hygiene.

We recommend our patients start to see the hygienist from as young as 3 years old, to introduce good oral hygiene habits and teach children from a young age how to accurately clean their teeth and mouths.

We encourage our patients to attend regular hygiene appointments as they are important for keeping your smile fresh and healthy. Regular hygiene appointments are also crucial to maintaining dental implants and ensuring the longevity of any dental treatment you may have previously had, such as crowns or bridgework.
