Everything was explained in detail as to what it all entailed. I had a CT scan to ensure all was ok to fit an implant. All my questions were answered. The lovely part is that I have no fears about going back..

The Implant Treatment Journey

Initial Consultation and Planning

Your implant journey begins with a comprehensive smile assessment. We’ll discuss your goals, examine your oral health, and take detailed CT scans of your jaw.

Jaw bone density is essential in determining whether dental implants are right for you. We need to ensure your jaw can support the implants.

Using the information gathered from this consultation, we’ll create a personalised treatment plan that outlines every step of your procedure, expected timeframes, and costs. Every step of your implant journey will take place in our clinic.

The Implant Placement

The implant placement procedure itself is more straightforward than you may expect. Under local anaesthetic, the small titanium post is precisely positioned in your jawbone.

We use high-quality Straumann and Nobel Biocare implants, coupled with advanced techniques, to ensure your comfort throughout the procedure.

Our oral maxillofacial surgeon, Dr Pradeep Sandhu, will perform more complex or advanced implant placements.

The Healing Phase

Following implant placement, your jaw and gum tissue need time to heal and integrate with the implant. This process, called osseointegration, typically takes a few months.

You’ll have a temporary restoration to maintain your appearance during this time. We’ll monitor your healing closely to ensure everything progresses as planned.

Completing Your Smile

Once your implant fully integrates with your jawbone, we’ll attach a custom crown. These restorations are crafted from high-quality materials to match your natural teeth perfectly in colour, shape, and size. The result is a seamless smile that looks and feels completely natural.

I see Dr Gurpreet Tiwana as my regular dentist and always get on v well. Earlier this month I saw Dr Minesh Patel for some specialist root canal treatment; he is honestly the nicest dentist I have ever had – shook my hand at the beginning and end of treatment, introduced himself, explained what he was going to do, all the way through treatment he checked whether I was ok and explained what he was going to do next etc, so so gentle and kind.
