The longest chain of paper hearts was created by the British Heart Foundation in 2018. The chain was created by members of the public dedicating a paper heart in memory of a loved one. Filled with messages of love and support, the chain measured nearly 1.5 miles long and included 17, 939 hearts.
The oldest surviving love poem was discovered by archaeologists in Nippur, Iraq. Known as ‘Instanbul #2461', the poem dates back to around 4000 years and was written on a clay tablet.
